Biophysical Chemistry Symposium (Thursday, May 13, 2010): This one-day, on-site Symposium aims to bring together research groups interested in using physical/chemical tools to study biological systems. This will be a great opportunity to interact with other biophysical/biochemical labs in Eastern Canada. This year's program is very exciting, with talks from researchers at Montreal, Ottawa, Sherbrooke, and Kingston, and a plenary lecture from Prof. Mike Summers (HHMI). Temporary Ventilation: Temporary ventilation units are being installed to serve the Otto Maass building. This will allow most research and teaching laboratories to continue to operate while the permanent ventilation system is being upgraded. The temporary ventilation units and ducts will be visible along the outside of the North, Corner and West blocks . They will serve the building until the new permanent ventilation system becomes operational at the end of 2010. The installation of the temporary ventilation is expected to be completed by the middle of May 2010. For more information, click here.
